Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rustic charm of the rooms and the overall comfort were nice, and the evening staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, my stay was marred by cleanliness issues and a serious bedbug situation that made me feel uneasy. While I appreciated the new room provided, it too could have used a better cleaning. Overall, the hotel has potential but needs significant improvements in hygiene and customer service to enhance guest experiences.
We found this hotel to be a good base for our adventures around Banff and Canmore, offering great views of the Rockies and a comfortable room for our family. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly, which added to our pleasant experience. On the downside, we encountered issues with cleanliness and an unsettling bedbug incident, which marred our stay and left us feeling uneasy.
The hotel has a charming atmosphere and offers decent amenities like a hot tub, but the cleanliness and maintenance leave a lot to be desired. The location near the train tracks can be a bit disruptive, and the dining options are limited, which may not suit everyone. Overall, while it has some nice features, there are several areas where it can improve.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel, largely thanks to the friendly staff who truly made me feel welcome. The location is perfect for exploring Banff and Canmore, with stunning views from the rooms. The service was top-notch, especially with staff members like Kris and Neil, who were incredibly helpful. The only downside was the breakfast at the on-site restaurant, as it was a bit pricey and not up to par. Overall, it's a great value for the area.
